Job Title: Activities leader at Castell Henllys – part time (15 hours per week, year round)
Location: Castell Henllys
Salary Pro rata: £25,992 – £27,269

We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging Activity Leader to join our vibrant heritage site. If you have a passion for the iron age, hands-on learning, and inspiring visitors of all ages – we want to hear from you. We are offering the opportunity to join an unique workplace and team, to lead the schools programme, and day to day summer activities at Castell Henllys.

You will be responsible for school visits to the site, ensuring that they have the best experience possible through an engaging and educational offer. This will also apply to the summer activities that run during the school holidays, to ensure that visitors have the best experience possible. There will be a mixture of Welsh language and English speaking schools visiting the site throughout the year, so its important that the experience we offer is consistent across the two languages.

You’ll work with other staff members to enhance the visitor experience, and develop the schools programme.

This role includes possible additional hours, depending on demand.

We are looking for someone who has:
• A keen interest in the Iron Age and Welsh history.
• Proven experience in a customer facing role and working with children.
• A passion for engaging children in learning through activity.
• Ability to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays.
• A full UK driving licence.
• B2 level Welsh.
