Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the special qualities of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park? We are seeking a positive, proactive and well-organised Conservation and Enforcement Assistant to join our Development Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to build your experience in planning enforcement while supporting the protection of the Park’s unique built and natural environment.
This role has a strong enforcement focus. You will help investigate breaches of planning control, research land ownership, support the issuing of enforcement notices, respond to enquiries and contribute to the effective resolution of planning issues across the National Park. Alongside this, you will also provide support on related matters including trees, hedgerows and the historic environment.
• Support planning enforcement investigations and help prioritise casework.
• Research land ownership details and assist with the preparation and issuing of enforcement notices.
• Respond to enquiries clearly and professionally by phone, in writing and in person.
• Undertake site visits, gather information and maintain accurate records using databases and GIS.
• Contribute to the wider work of the team on trees, hedgerows and conservation matters where required.
You will be someone with strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £28,598-30,024 per annum, minimum 25 days holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays, generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.
