Tirweddau Cymru Landscape Wales has an exciting opportunity for an individual to
guide and support the transformational change needed for the Designated Landscapes (DLs) in Wales to provide long term protection for nature.
The postholder will work with Tirweddau Cymru Landscapes Wales and the Deep Dive Designated Landscape Biodiversity Group to progress action to support DLs in contributing to the commitment to protect and effectively manage 30% of land (and seas) by 2030.
The postholder will apply knowledge of nature recovery, sustainable land use, and climate resilience strategies within a landscape management context to the work of the DLs in Wales
This role will advocate for positive socio-economic impacts, and ensures the integration of socio economic outcomes with inclusive and equitable environmental/landscape strategies.
The successful candidate will have a range of knowledge, skills and experience:
building relationships and collaboration,
stakeholder engagement and leadership,
national policy, and local delivery,
along with an understanding of the role of land management in tackling the climate and biodiversity crises.
The post holder will apply a strong understanding of global good practice in delivery and governance to the DLs in Wales , and advocate for supportive nature recovery policy within a landscape context.
The successful candidate will need to have experience of cross-organisation collaboration, working in partnership with multiple stakeholders, and cultivating effective working relationships that can make a real difference in the natural environment.
The successful applicant will be employed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, however, can be based anywhere in Wales. Options for home working or being based in any of the eight Designated Landscapes will be considered. The successful applicant will need to travel across Wales.
The post will be politically restricted in accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989
The post is funded by Welsh Government as part of the allocation to Landscape Wales.

Salary and Benefits:
A salary of £41,511 - £44.711, per annum, minimum 25 days holiday rising to 30 days plus public holidays, generous local government pension scheme, great flexible working arrangements and career development opportunities.
