Job Title: Activities and Events Contributor –
Working Time: Weekend work- 15 hours per week during summer season
Location: Castell Henllys
Salary: £24,404 – £25,584, pro rata
Contract Type: Evergreen (contracted annual summer hours, causal winter hours)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our team at the unique and inspiring heritage site, Castell Henllys. If you have a passion for Welsh history, the iron age, and enjoy engaging with people of all ages – this could be the role for you.

As an Events and Activities Contributor, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of activities and at Castell Henllys. This includes helping with our interactive school sessions, engaging with the general public, and bringing the Iron Age to life.

You’ll work closely with other staff members to provide a warm welcome to visitors and help ensure their time on-site is enjoyable, informative, and memorable. Additional hours may be offered if/when needed. This role may offer occasional additional hours depending on demand.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A strong interest in the Iron Age and Welsh history.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role.
• Confidence in engaging with children and families in a learning environment.
• The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Welsh language skills (C1) please refer to the Welsh Language Competency Framework attached.
