Make a lasting impact in Pembrokeshire National Park as a Volunteer Development Officer.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are looking for a passionate and proactive Volunteer Development Officer to join their People Services team. Based at Llanion Park and working across the Authority, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Volunteering and the Volunteering Strategy of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.

In this newly created role, you’ll lead on developing and delivering high-quality volunteering opportunities and programmes, working closely with schools, colleges, universities, and charities. Your work will help create meaningful volunteering opportunities for local people, including micro-volunteering and opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, while supporting the Authority’s goals for sustainability, inclusion, and biodiversity.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteering opportunities, streamline volunteering work placement and work experience administrative processes, and promote the Authority as providing opportunities across all of its activities . You will be involved in the successful implementation of the recent Review of Volunteering. From designing structured work experience programmes to managing work placements and reporting on key performance indicators, your work will directly contribute to our mission of nurturing talent and supporting community development.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication, networking, and organisational skills, along with experience in volunteering and partnership working. A degree in a relevant field, a full driving licence are essential and B1 or B2 Welsh Language skills are essential.

Full Time (37 hours per week) - Permanent

Do you have experience of planning matters, including planning enforcement? Does the idea of delivering an effective planning enforcement service within a team environment appeal to you?

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has an exciting new opportunity to join our Development Management department as an Enforcement Officer, helping to create great places for people to live, work, l and enjoy throughout Pembrokeshire.

As part of this role, you will assist the National Park in carrying out its statutory purpose, acting as the case officer for a range of planning enforcement investigations. The role includes providing advice on all planning enforcement matters, analysing and interpreting information to determine whether a breach has occurred, and taking appropriate action to remedy a breach.

As part of this you will attend public meetings, planning appeal hearings and inquiries, and site visits. You will be responsible for preparing and issuing statutory notices, evidence, and written statements relating to enforcement matters.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Knowledge of planning legislation, policies and investigative/legal procedures.
• Experience of Planning Enforcement.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills with the ability to prepare complex written reports and excellent oral and written communication.
• Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or to be eligible for membership.
• Extensive experience of planning matters including planning enforcement in a committee environment, and experience of planning appeals, hearings, public inquiries.
